Hyman Hayes Associates provided architectural and interior design services for a Contract Testing Laboratory expansion that supports the next generation of biosafety testing and pharmaceutical development. The two-story addition enhances the facility’s research and production capabilities with specialized laboratories for mycoplasma, sterility, and viral testing, as well as flexible containment and support spaces designed for evolving biomanufacturing needs.

The design promotes both scientific precision and workplace connection. A central gallery links the addition to the existing building, offering staff a collaborative hub and visitors a view into the active lab environments. On the second floor, new offices and meeting spaces accommodate growth and streamline operations. Exterior materials—stone and timber—reflect the surrounding Adirondack landscape, grounding this advanced facility in its regional context while positioning it for continued innovation in biosafety and drug development.
