HHA has provided ongoing design services at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), including new construction, renovation, and site improvements within an active public park setting. Working in collaboration with OPRHP and the State Historic Preservation Office, HHA delivered a series of coordinated projects that improved visitor experience, operational function, and long-term facility performance.
Public-facing improvements included the design and construction of new concessions buildings, restroom facilities, and flexible event spaces that replaced aging temporary structures. These facilities were carefully sited to accommodate large seasonal crowds while maintaining compatibility with the surrounding natural and historic context.
In parallel, HHA completed renovations to backstage support areas, including dressing rooms, toilet rooms, and shower facilities. These upgrades addressed ADA compliance, modernized outdated infrastructure, and improved functionality for performers and staff within an active venue.
Additional work included campus circulation and site improvements, requiring coordination across multiple phases within an occupied and heavily utilized facility. HHA balanced operational continuity, constructability, and budget constraints while delivering cohesive, durable solutions across the SPAC campus.
